The Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG) and the Development Academy of the Bangsamoro jointly conducted a Round Table Discussion (RTD) on Islamic Finance on December 14, 2020. The aim of the RTD is
to develop a skills training module on Islamic Finance for ESKEY Academy, a skills training program for the Sangguniang Kabataan in BARMM.Dr. Normia A. Salindal presented the legal framework of Islamic Banking in the Philippines while Prof. Saidamen Mambayao, the ESKEY program focal person, discussed the Islamic Microfinance as an alternative financing in the BARMM.
The participants in the said RTD are individuals with diverse field of specialization such as shariah, business, banking, microfinance, accounting and law.
