LOOK | The Development Academy of the Bangsamoro (DAB) participates in the Master’s Training of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, through the Ministry of Labor and Employment, to facilitate the conduct of capacity building activities with the law enforcement agencies, workers’ and employers’ organizations and stakeholders to promote compliance and enforcement of child labour laws in the region. The said activity was conducted on June 18-22, 2023 at Koronadal City, in partnership with Integrated Resource Development for Tri-People, Inc. (IRDT) and International Labour Organization.
The Training of Trainers is the initial step towards capacitating the various stakeholders, government ministries, law enforcement agencies, and other relevant entities to enhance their understanding of child labour laws, and promote compliance and enforcement thereof. This initiative is crucial in creating a strong foundation to combat child labor in the region. With these efforts, the Government of the Day is taking a giant leap towards eradicating child labor and ensuring the well-being and protection of the rights of children in the region.
