On June 19, 2024, the Development Academy of the Bangsamoro (DAB) and the Commission on Audit (COA) BARMM held their annual Exit Conference for Fiscal Year 2023 at DAB Conference Hall. The event was attended by key officials from both organizations, highlighting their commitment to transparency and accountability.
The conference was graced by the Executive Director of DAB, Hisham S. Nando, M.A. and the Assistant Regional Director of COA BARMM, Ms. Consuelo Y. Calo, CPA. Dr. Normia A. Salindal, Chief of the Finance and Administrative Division of DAB, introduced the key officials present from the academy, setting a collaborative tone for the meeting.
Ms. Sittie Norlikha A. Comayog, CPA, the Audit Team Leader, presented the audit findings, observations, and recommendations for the year 2023. Her detailed report laid the groundwork for a constructive discussion on improving the academy’s financial and administrative processes.
In response, Executive Director Nando delivered his management response to the audit findings and recommendations. He expressed gratitude for the COA’s diligent work and constructive feedback. “The insights provided by the COA are invaluable to our continuous improvement,” Director Nando stated. “We are committed to implementing the recommendations and enhancing our operations to better serve the Bangsamoro community.”
The conference concluded with Director Nando’s closing remarks, where he reiterated the academy’s dedication to transparency and excellence. He also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the entire FAD team for their efforts and to the COA team for their firm support and cooperation.
The successful conclusion of this exit conference marks another step forward in the collaborative efforts between DAB and COA BARMM, ensuring that the academy continues to operate with integrity and efficiency for the benefit of all stakeholders.
