The Development Academy of the Bangsamoro through its center of Training and Assessment, started the ball rolling for 2024 in providing technical assistance, being the central human capital development training and research arm of the Bangsamoro Government. As early as January 8-12, 2024, the DAB conducted an extensive training and workshop sessions on Completed Staff Work to the Office of the Chief Minister- Procurement Office personnel at Home Crest Hotel, Davao City. The said activity was funded by SUBATRA Project through its Project Component 1: Enhanced Capacity of the BTA’s Executive Branch to Efficiently Formulate and Implement Transitional Policies. One of the key results of this component was improved delivery of services by ministries, offices, and agencies.
The OCM-Procurement Office plays a vital role in delivering the different services, especially the special programs of the Office of the Chief Minister. It is very important that they possess the skills that ensure effectiveness and efficiency at work. After a rigorous needs assessment conducted to Procurement Office and its personnel, it transpired that the latter needs to undergo Training on Completed Staff Work. The training enhances key competencies such as analytical and creative thinking, decision-making, thoroughness, personal accountability, and teamwork that are necessary to every government employee.
The DAB training team integrated dynamic workshops that required the participants to think outside the box that allowed them to utilize their analytic and creative thinking and decision-making skills. It was enriched with collaborative activities that strengthened the involvement and teamwork among them. The sessions may be nerve- breaking, but the training team was able to maintain the high level of energy, excitement and enthusiasm among the participants. The activity concluded positively and committed to apply the learnings and competencies acquired. After all, every Head of Office expects nothing from subordinates but COMPLETED STAFF WORK!
