DAB Upskills the BTA Support to Operations Personnel

The Development Academy of the Bangsamoro, through its Center of Training and Assessment, upskilled the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) – Support to Operations (STO) personnel on technical writing and presentation skills. This activity was part of the capacity-development initiatives of the Human Resource Management Division of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority for their employees. The latter coordinated the Development Academy of the Bangsamoro to facilitate their three-day Training on Technical Writing and Effective Communication scheduled on May 8-10, 2024 at Glamour Resto ‘N Caterer, Rosary Heights VII, Cotabato City.

Communication skills, both oral and written, are critical competencies required from government employees. Organic staff from BTA conduct public speaking, present proposals, and provide instructions. In the context of writing, they write project proposals, prepare memoranda, draft business correspondences, and edit written works of others. Thus, upskilling oral and written skills are essential among BTA employees.

The DAB training team exposed the participants with hands-on writing exercises and practical sessions on presentation delivery. Both aimed at enhancing participants’ ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively. The activity concluded positively and committed to apply the learnings and competencies acquired. After all, good communication is the bridge between confusion and clarity.
