: The Development Academy of the Bangsamoro (DAB) recently concluded a transformative “Training of Trainers on Gender and Development” from December 18 to 22, 2023 held at Davao De Oro.
Skilled trainers from the National Gender and Development Resource Pool (NGRP) of the Philippines Commission on Women (PCW) facilitated this training session for DAB employees who have expressed their willingness to support the BARMM government by serving as resource persons for Gender and Development Capacity-building activities
This training is crucial for building their expertise and ensuring the quality of training programs. Well-trained trainers are better equipped to promote inclusivity, address unconscious bias, customize training to local contexts, encourage skill development, and empower trainers as change agents. They also contribute to the effective dissemination of gender sensitivity knowledge and the advancement of gender equality in diverse communities.
This TOT is designed to cater to the capacity development needs of the Academy’s clients who are requesting for DAB’s technical assistance pertaining to Gender and Development capacity building.
DAB serves as the central human capital development training and research arm of the Bangsamoro Government for its officials and employees and is mandated to provide training programs and technical assistance services to BARMM Ministries, offices, and agencies.
As the Academy continues to fulfill its mandate, it remains committed to providing high-quality training programs and technical assistance that align with the evolving needs of the Bangsamoro Government and its affiliated agencies. The successful completion of the “Training of Trainers on Gender and Development” marks a significant step forward in building a cadre of professionals dedicated to advancing gender equality in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
