Strengthening Financial and Administrative Foundation for Fiscal Autonomy Transformation

📸 | The Development Academy of the Bangsamoro (DAB) facilitated a Seminar-Workshop on Fiscal Autonomy organized by the Office of the Wali of Bangsamoro last May 15-17, 2024 at General Santos City. The 3-day activity included sessions which was led by the Chief Administrative Officer of DAB, Dr. Normia A. Salindal. She gave lectures centered on the processes and requirements to shift for autonomy status of the Office of the Wali of Bangsamoro, introductions to Fiscal Autonomy, Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) Processes, essential information about required annual and regular reports, and other important details that can potentially guide their office towards their end goal. The seminar-workshop was inspired by the principles of effective and efficient fiscal management that highlights the smooth flow of transaction, equity, predictability, and efficiency.

This Seminar-Workshop on Fiscal Autonomy aimed on providing orientation on fiscal readiness for the employees of the Office of Wali of Bangsamoro as part of their learning and development (L&D) intervention towards a more matured and responsible public service through excellent performance. The participants also undergone a simulation activity of how procurement processes are done during a Fiscal Autonomy status of an office. Together with Dr. Salindal, is Mr. Mohadzireen A. Salendab and Mr. Hussien A. Abo, MAPDS who co-facilitated the Seminar-Workshop.
