COTABATO CITY- The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education’s (MBHTE) Directorate General for Madaris Education (DGME) conducted the 2nd L and M T M of Formal Madrasah implementing Standard Madrasah Curriculum. The said training was conducted in 3 batches in the different schools’ divisions of BARMM. Batch 1 (November 13-15, 2023 at Zamboanga City ) for BASULTA, Batch 2 (November 21-23, 2023 at DOS Maguindanao) for the areas of Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Special Geographic Area (SGA) and Cotabato City. And Batch 3 (November 28-30, 2023at DOS, Maguindanao ) for the areas of Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, and Lanao del Norte.
The training aimed to equip the Formal Private Madrasah administrators with the necessary knowledge to lead with integrity, foster a culture of moral governance, and drive excellence within their institutions. It further aims to raise the quality of instruction in private Madaris in compliance with the standards provided by the Department of Education and the MBHTE.
Mr. Gebracel N. Makaton, Senior Education Program Specialist at the Development Academy of the Bangsamoro gave emphasis on the topic of Moral Governance in Islamic Education and the role of the Education Leaders in Peace Building. Ms. Noraida A. Datumanong, The DAB Chief Education Program Specialist facilitates learning on 2 Topics, Conflict Resolution, Crisis Management, and Emergency Preparedness in BARMM Education Context, and Cultural Competence in Education.
The participants of the training were enlightened on the said topics and they committed to participate and cooperate for the betterment of the Bangsamoro.
