As part of the effort to promote gender equity and women’s empowerment in the Bangsamoro Government, Bangsamoro Information and Communications Technology Office – BARMM in coordination with Development Academy of the Bangsamoro (DAB), tapped the expertise of the Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC) in the conduct of a three-day Gender and Development Training in Islamic Perspective. The activity was held in Bajada Suites, Davao City from October 24-26, 2023.
BWC provided comprehensive knowledge on gender-related matters not only the legal bases but also enlightenment on the importance of GAD in Islamic perspective. The bottomline of the training is the promotion of equal opportunity, inclusivity, and respect for both men and women in the Bangsamoro region.
